12th International Conference on Electronic Commerce (ICEC 2010), held in Honolulu, Hawaii, August 2th-4th, 2010.
In a plenary panel on future perspectives of eCommerce research, he highlighted the potential of mobile eCommerce based on technological developments in ultra-highspeed mobile information and communication systems as investigated in excellence cluster UMIC. Mobile commerce will also be the main theme for the forthcoming 2011 issue of the conference, to be held in Liverpool/UK. For details on the ICEC 2010 conference, see icec2010.shidler.hawaii.edu. The proceedings were edited by the conference chairs X.T. Bui (U. Hawaii), M. Jarke (RWTH Aachen), V. Dhar (New York University), K.L. Hui (HKUST) and H.
